How to Find Us

Address: Brooks Guesthouse Bristol, St Nicholas Street, Bristol, BS1 1UB
Getting to us by car
Drive down Victoria Street onto Wine Street (past all the shops and Tesco Metro on the left).
Continue straight and you will see sign for the Galleries shopping centre on the left hand side.
Once you have parked, retain your ticket and when you check out from the guesthouse we will give you a new discounted ticket – (£15 for 24 hours).
The post code for the Galleries car park is BS1 3XD.
If you park at The Galleries, leave the car park and walk down Wine Street. Follow that road onto Corn Street, then take a left at Exchange Avenue (you will see Trail finders at the corner onto Exchange Avenue). We are the building on the right hand side after Trail finders, opposite the food stalls. There are two large gates and a large Green banner pointing to the entrance. Go through these into the courtyard, and the reception is straight in front of you. (If you arrive after 8pm please ring the door bell and we will let you in).
Arriving by train
The nearest train station is Bristol Temple Meads which is roughly a 10 minute walk from the guesthouse.
Come out of the station and go straight to the junction with the main road.
Take a right and cross over a large roundabout. You must take the street called Victoria Street (it has red brick buildings on the corner). You will pass Novotel on the right hand side & several large offices on the left hand side. Continue over Victoria Bridge and take the 2nd left onto St Nicholas Street. Carry on straight until you reach an Irish pub called Seamus O Donnells, and then take a right here up a cobbled street called Exchange Avenue. If you look up you will see a green banner pointing towards Brooks Guesthouse Entrance. We are located next to a café called Source. Go through the large gate into our courtyard gardens, and you will find the reception. (If you are arriving after 8pm ring the door bell and we will let you in).
Coming from Bristol Airport – the Bristol Flyer will take you from the airport to Templemeads station for £7 (departing every 15 minutes). We are a 10 – 15 minute walk from the station.
A taxi from Bristol airport costs approx. £25-£35 and will take 30 mins. We are happy to call you a taxi if you wish to return to the airport.
Coming by Boat – take a taxi boat called the Bristol Ferry company from Temple Meads for a fun way to start your break. Ferries go every 20 minutes and cost £2.80 (Please note: there is a winter and summer timetable)
Bristol Bus station is also a short walk from the guesthouse.
Bike – We have secure bike storage should you require it. You can also hire bicycles at Temple Mead Station. https://www.bromptonbikehire.com
Getting around the city is best by foot but the number 8 or 9 located on Rupert Street will take you to Clifton. The shopping area of Cabot circus is easier by foot – it’s a 10 minute walk to Harvey Nicks and House of Fraser at Cabot Circus.
